This is a new one: apparently, Alberto Gonzales (he of impeccable child-protection credentials) and the Justice Department poo-poohed investigations/prosecutions regarding allegations of rampant sexual abuse at the Texas Youth Commission. This is fairly recent, but I don't want to call it breaking; however, for all intents and purposes, at a low level, it is indeed breaking.

Here's the Dallas Morning News on the DA's failure to prosecute, from March 22: http://www.dallasnews.com/...
This is a direct tie-in to the USAs scandal currently unfolding, as the Texas U.S. Attorney didn't do a damn thing after a Texas Ranger investigation found prison guards routinely abusing the youth in their care. In fact, one of the prison guards, Ray Brookins, had 21 years worth of "disciplinary and petty criminal records," and among the indiscretions batted away by his superiors was viewing pornography on state computers.
There are a number of damning quotes in the article linked above, but I'll isolate the two that really hit me, and are directly relevant re: the USAs scandal.
First:
"The U.S. attorney's office in Texas actually prepared indictments in this case," Angle told WND. "But when the word came from Washington, that's when Baumann wrote his letter declining prosecution. Sutton's office dropped the matter on the desk of the local district attorney, but nobody from Sutton's office said 'if you can’t go on this case, we'll help you out.'"
Then:
"If you read the letters from Sutton's office or from DOJ, it's really amazing what abuse they describe and then downplay as not being serious," Angle explained. "They describe systematic and widespread abuse of juveniles who were held in these facilities by the people who were administering these facilities, and they acknowledge this fully, yet they determine that the evidence is not sufficient to warrant federal prosecution."
Finally:
"The letters justify not pursuing these cases because, number one, there is no evidence that any of these juveniles felt physical pain while they were being assaulted, and the letters use the word 'assaulted,'" he said. "And then also, they rejected prosecution because none of these juveniles stated in the investigations that they resisted and objected, which of course the facts of the report show to be the case. This case developed right in the middle of Governor Perry's 2006 re-election campaign. While Texas is a Republican state, and the Republicans expected to win, still at that time, Governor Perry was facing an election challenge from Carole Strayhorn, a third party candidate who was also a former Republican comptroller in Texas."
Now this is some foul, foul shit right here. Imagine the DOJ arguing that maybe the kids enjoyed the sex? That pain has to result to warrant prosecution of abuse/molestation? There's politics, and there's politics, but this is a psychotically disturbed animal unto itself - turning your back on children being used as sexual toys by their captors.
This is the kind of thing lurking below the surface of what's going down with Kyle Sampson right now. If something like this gets out, even O'Reilly wouldn't be able to convincingly defend these motherfuckers anymore (O'Reilly a long time ago anointed himself child-protector #1).
I love Kos because what starts as one person's finding out there in the Internet wasteland can actually make it to the eyeballs of a Senator or House member or somebody who can actually do something about suspended, meat-hooked justice. That's why I'm sharing this. Farce became tragedy one fuck of a long time ago in Bushland.
Remember: the USA scandal really percolates at the local level.
ADDENDUM: Could this be part of what Sibel Edmonds has hinted at (hinted at very obliquely, granted) regarding a sex/drugs ring in the United States, involving many senior officials, with Dennis Hastert one of the figures? Does anyone remember when Sibel Edmonds hinted at this, and if so, can you aid my shaky memory?
ADDENDUM 2: Many have noted in the comments that Jerome Corsi, Swiftboater extraordinaire, is the writer of the article above. Considering that I despise Swiftboaters, I normally wouldn't give a rat's ass re: what they had to say on any given topic...save this one. I don't particularly give a shit what Mr. Corsi's motives are here, and many speculations on motive are down there in the comments. Given that Mr. Corsi is a human being, at least functionally, I suppose it's possible that teens being assaulted and (let's be frank) raped against their will bothers even his excuse for a conscience. Like I say, I don't know and don't care, because it's all too damned important. If he takes the party down, if he ends up in Rove's (literal) crosshairs, so be it. This one time, Mr. Corsi did good.
